Report Copyright and Trademark Infringement Claims

My Filter is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of others and expects the users of its website or any of its affiliates (collectively referred to as the “Services”) to do the same. We will respond to notices alleging copyright infringement in accordance with applicable laws. In appropriate circumstances, and at our sole discretion, we may terminate, suspend, or limit the account/profile or access to the Services of any user who infringes the intellectual property rights of others. Additionally, we may choose to remove or disable access to content that is deemed infringing.

DMCA Policy and Copyright Infringement

If you believe that your content has been copied and/or made accessible on the Services in a manner that constitutes copyright infringement, or if you believe that the Services contain links to infringing content, you may contact us by first-class U.S. mail or email, as required by the Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 USC § 512. To notify us of the alleged infringement, please provide a written communication containing the following information:

  1. Identify the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed or, if multiple copyrighted works on the Services are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list of such works.
  2. Identify the specific material that you claim is infringing or is the subject of infringing activity and that needs to be removed or disabled. Provide information reasonably sufficient to enable us to locate the material, including the URL of the link where the material can be found.
  3. Provide your full legal name and your electronic or physical signature.
  4. Include information reasonably sufficient to allow us to contact you, such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address (if available).
  5. Include a statement in good faith that the use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law, such as: “I hereby declare that I have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (e.g., as a fair use).”
  6. Include a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information provided in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

It is important to note that making a false statement in a notification that alleges content or activity is infringing violates the DMCA and may subject you to legal liability, including damages and attorney’s fees. Before sending a notice, it is essential to consider copyright defenses, limitations, or exceptions. If you are unsure whether the content on our Services infringes your copyright, it is recommended to consult an attorney. Additionally, please ensure that the content you are notifying actually exists on our service before submitting the notification.

Repeat Infringer Policy

It is My Filter’s policy, in appropriate circumstances, to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers or who have been repeatedly accused of infringing the copyrights of others. Furthermore, My Filter may, at its sole discretion, suspend, disable, and/or terminate the accounts of users who engage in infringing activities or for other related reasons.
